We had a water
birth at Hackettstown Hospital. I think you would be proud
of us with how well we did. We got to the hospital at
midnight. Things moved along so quickly that Martha, the
midwife, almost didn't make it in time for the birthing. I
was in the tub when my water broke and the nurses made me
get out and back on the bed. But I was able to get back in
the tub when the midwife arrived. She recommended to be on
my hands and knees, then I turned over once Juliette's head
was out and the rest of her came quite easily. You were
right, she looked right at me when I brought her to my
chest. It was the most wonderful experience I've ever had.
Martha said I had her in record time, only 1 1/2 hours of
actual labor. Just what I wanted! |
